In Loving Memory of Michael "Dean" Gee
Over a year ago on July 14, 2010; 16 yr old Dean Gee who was a 2nd Dan black belt in the Tang Soo Do federation from Michigan was in a fatal car accident. Our Federation is at a great loss. He was a nice young man with a Tang Soo Do heart. Our thoughts and prayers continue to go out to his family and friends.

Kim's Karate students travelled to New Jersey to compete at Grandmaster Yi's annual tournament. With several students winning first place. Andrew Entwistle took home Junior Grand Champion (Boys) and Allison Meyers took home Junior Grand Champion (Girls)

Master Christopher Miller and 32 Students competed at a tournament and brought home 58 trophies!! Master Miller won Grand Champion in Adult Forms. Also Miller's Martial Art's won "Most Supportive School"

Ben Scofield a 13 yr old Green Belt went on a Mission Trip with his church to Carmel Matriculation School in Tamil Nadu, India Jan 7 - 22, 2011. Ben showed Pan-Am pride while visiting some of India's attractions. He even showed the students some of his forms!

The Kim's Karate Demo Team, As well as Masters performed at the York Revolutions Game on June 23, 2010. Everyone did an amazing job! Students and family members came to watch and some stayed for the game. Thank you to all who supported Kim's Karate and attended that night.

Karate Kid
Kim's Karate students and their families attended the opening of the new 'Karate Kid' moving starring Jayden Smith and Jackie Chan at the Frank Theatre in York. Grandmaster Kim, Sr Master Anthony Kim, Master Dan Hyson, Master Georgia Golden and students participated in a demonstration of forms, weapons and board breaking inside the theatre prior to watching the movie.

CPR Training
On Kim’s Karate HQ hosted a CPR and First Aid training session conducted by Kevin Baum of the American Red Cross, York-Adams Chapter along with five members of the Seven Valleys Volunteer Fire Company on 2/20/10. Sr. Master Matthew Kim, Masters Lili Rehak and Christine Buckingham, and Sr. Master Jim Sprich all received certification in both CPR and standard first aid
5 Time World Champion Cynthia Rothrock at the USA Karate Championship
Grandmaster Kim was a guest of honor along with martial arts action movie star and 5 Time World Champion Cynthia Rothrock at the USA Karate Championship in Clarks Summit located outside of Scranton, PA on April 17, 2010. The championship was hosted by Master Eric Kovaleski, son of Grandmaster Robert Kovaleski. Present also were Kim’s Karate students Brian DiMattia and Lili Rehak.

2010 Garden State Championship
On March 27, 2010 Kim's Karate students traveled to New Jersey for the 34th annual Garden State Championship held by Grandmaster Ki Yun Yi. Everyone did an excellent job!! 3 of our students came home with Grand Champion trophies. Joe Chan - Men's sparring. Sean Kirby - Forms. Gabriella Wilt - Girls Black Belt Junior Sparring. Congratulations!!!
A Great Honor!!
On January 23, 2010 during Kim's Karate Color Belt test; Technical Sergeant Andreas Hont presented Grandmaster Chong Su Kim with the American Flag that was flown over Afghanistan with our wounded warriors on a C-130 Hercules Aircraft in support of Operation Enduring Freedom on December 27, 2009.
 
2009 SPCA Donation
Through the Holidays Kim's Karate locations had collected donations for the SPCA. We received many donations from students and parents. The donations were brought to the SPCA on Jan 26, 2010. Many animals will benefit from the support of all our students and their families. Thank you so much for your generosity !!

PTF MICHIGAN STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS- March 29, 2009
The Michigan State Championship was hosted by Masters Bernard Cobb, Ben Irwin and Terry Balogh.
Mexico Clinic - March 12-16, 2009
Choong Jae Nim Chong Su Kim and Sun Bae Sah Bum Nim Jim Sprich hosted the PTF Mexico Clinic. In attendence was PTF Mexico Master Sergio Corral Frias and his students. Grandmaster Kim gave their color belt test, black belt test and a technical advisory seminar.

On March 7, 2009 the family of John and Jordan Mullins (Black Belt Representatives From Master Bob Aubrey - Yelm, WA) traveled to Salem, Oregon and participated in the Battle of Champions Open Karate Championship. John Mullins 1st Dan, placed 3rd in forms and 2nd in sparring. Jordan Mullins also a 1st Dan, placed 2nd in forms, and 2nd in sparring in his division.
